Welcome to the site of ACCSO - the Association des Clubs de Cricket du Sud Ouest,  responsible for the encouragement and administration of cricket across an enormous swathe of France: bigger even than what is often called le grand sud ouest, because our patch ranges from Bordeaux to Montpellier; from just north of the Pyrénées right up to Périgueux and Angoulême.

Whether you are visiting the site as a member of one of the ACCSO clubs....... or as a member of a club elsewhere in France or beyond with a view to organising a whole tour or just a couple of games...... or perhaps you are newly-arrived in the south-west of France or planning to live here..... we hope that you will find what you are looking for.

The New News section will often be your first port-of-call to see what's "hot". 

During the season, the Fixtures & Results page will be essential Monday reading. The Umpiring page will announce the allocation of umpires to our competitive matches, together with newsletters and announcements of interest to the umpiring community.

We shall continue to provide comprehensive coverage of the ACCSO member clubs (12 in 2008): where to find them, how to contact them, distances from airports, and such like.  In short, useful stuff for when you are planning a tour or for when you are setting out to go to a match.  Go to the Clubs in the S-W page and/or to Looking for Cricket?

The page tabbed ACCSO:Who are we? includes boring stuff such as Officers, announcements and minutes of meetings... But it also gives you the possibility to communicate with members of the "Bureau".

The Association also acts as a clearing-house for rules & regulations.  Full texts and/or pointers will be posted there, rather than being published by serial e-mails. This section will be particularly important to captains needing to know the rules of our competitions.

Internally, we have a major project still outstanding : to arrive at a new Constitution.  This is sufficiently important to merit its very own tab, where we shall post updates.  When it's all signed & sealed, we'll shift it to the Who are we? section. 

Finally, the Good To Know! section carries pointers to all sorts of sites, some official and others simply useful or fun.
